Appearance
Mobile & PWA
Home Lab has a dedicated mobile layout that kicks in on narrow screens (≤ 760 px wide).
What changes on mobile
- Sidebar becomes a drawer - it slides in from the left so the content gets the full width. Tap the ☰ menu button at the top-left of the top bar to open it; tap a page, Add page, Settings, or the dimmed overlay to close it.
- Single-column content - the app flows top-to-bottom with natural page scrolling, and the top bar stays pinned at the top.
- Tighter chrome - reduced padding; the weather/clock widget is hidden in the top bar to keep it from overflowing; "Add service" collapses to its icon.
- Column clamping - on very narrow screens (≤ 480 px) pages with a fixed column count drop to a single column so cards aren't crushed.
Reordering on touch
Drag-and-drop works on touch, but the arrow buttons are often easier:
- Reorder groups with ▲ / ▼ in the page editor.
- Reorder pages with ▲ / ▼ in Settings → Pages & groups.
Install it
On a phone, install Home Lab to your home screen so it opens full-screen without the browser chrome. See Install as an app (PWA).
After an update
The app is cached by a service worker. After deploying a new version, fully close the tab/app and reopen it so the new version activates and clears the old cache.
