Page layout & columns
Layout is set per page in the page editor (the pencil next to the page title). There are two knobs: Layout and Columns.
Layout
| Layout | What it does |
|---|---|
| Grid | Groups are stacked vertically. Within each group, cards flow into a responsive grid. |
| Columns | Groups sit side by side as columns across the page. Each group's cards stack in a single column. |
- Grid is the classic dashboard look - good when groups have lots of cards.
- Columns is compact - good for many small groups (e.g. a links page).
Columns
The Columns setting forces an exact column count instead of letting the layout fit to the available width:
- Auto (default) - fit as many columns as the width allows.
- 1-6 - force exactly that many columns.
What "columns" means depends on the layout:
| Layout | Columns controls |
|---|---|
| Grid | Cards per row within each group |
| Columns | How many groups sit side by side per row |
On narrow / mobile widths the count is clamped automatically (down to 2-up, or a single column) so nothing gets crushed.
Dashboard favourites
The Dashboard's editor also has a Columns setting - there it controls how many favourite cards show per row.
Reordering on a page
- Cards - drag a card to reorder it, or drop it on another group to move it.
- Groups - reorder with the ▲ / ▼ arrows in the page editor.
- Pages - drag them in the sidebar, or use the arrows in Settings → Pages & groups.
- Favourites - drag to reorder on the Dashboard.
