Import from Homepage
If you're coming from Homepage, you can import your existing config instead of rebuilding from scratch.
What you can import
| File | Brings across |
|---|---|
services.yaml | Your service cards, grouped as you had them |
settings.yaml | Layout / display preferences where they map |
widgets.yaml | Info widgets (e.g. Glances, weather) |
bookmarks.yaml | Bookmark pages & groups |
docker.yaml | Docker host definitions |
proxmox.yaml | Proxmox connection details |
How to import
- Go to Settings → App & data → Import from Homepage (or the Import button in the top bar).
- Upload your
services.yaml(and any of the others you have). - Review and confirm. Services land as a new page; bookmarks become a bookmark page; widget credentials are wired up where they can be matched.
How widgets map over
- Homepage widget types are mapped to Home Lab's native widget types.
- A Homepage
customapiwidget pointing at an ntfy URL is converted to the native ntfy widget automatically (the topic is extracted, the proxy URL dropped). - Homepage's
id:is treated as a CSS hint and ignored for identity - cards get fresh, de-duplicated IDs from their names.
After importing
- Check that each widget's credentials carried over; re-enter any secrets that didn't (some are intentionally not exported by Homepage).
- Tidy up pages, groups and layout to taste.
