Import from Homepage

If you're coming from Homepage, you can import your existing config instead of rebuilding from scratch.

What you can import

FileBrings across
services.yamlYour service cards, grouped as you had them
settings.yamlLayout / display preferences where they map
widgets.yamlInfo widgets (e.g. Glances, weather)
bookmarks.yamlBookmark pages & groups
docker.yamlDocker host definitions
proxmox.yamlProxmox connection details

How to import

  1. Go to Settings → App & data → Import from Homepage (or the Import button in the top bar).
  2. Upload your services.yaml (and any of the others you have).
  3. Review and confirm. Services land as a new page; bookmarks become a bookmark page; widget credentials are wired up where they can be matched.

How widgets map over

  • Homepage widget types are mapped to Home Lab's native widget types.
  • A Homepage customapi widget pointing at an ntfy URL is converted to the native ntfy widget automatically (the topic is extracted, the proxy URL dropped).
  • Homepage's id: is treated as a CSS hint and ignored for identity - cards get fresh, de-duplicated IDs from their names.

After importing

  • Check that each widget's credentials carried over; re-enter any secrets that didn't (some are intentionally not exported by Homepage).
  • Tidy up pages, groups and layout to taste.
